What we offer
Stephanie Vicars-Zaragoza, Registered Provisional Psychologist
Stephanie (Steph) Vicars-Zaragoza brings over 15 years of experience
supporting individuals through life’s most tender and transformative
seasons. Her work is rooted in both professional training and lived
experience, offering a deeply empathetic and understanding approach
to care.
Steph began her journey in the perinatal field after her own traumatic birth
experience, becoming a certified birth doula. This foundation continues to
inform her work today, particularly in supporting individuals navigating
the prenatal, postpartum, and early parenting periods.
As a mother of three, Steph understands that entering parenthood can be both deeply rewarding and incredibly challenging. She works with clients experiencing:
-
Stress, anxiety, and burnout
-
Overwhelm and emotional regulation challenges
-
Parenting concerns and identity shifts
-
Grief, loss, and life transitions
Steph views grief as a natural and meaningful part of the human experience. She supports clients in exploring grief related to relationships, identity, unmet expectations, and significant life changes. Her work creates space for clients to safely process complex emotions such as shame, guilt, and anger—bringing them into the light where healing can begin.
Her therapeutic approach is holistic, compassionate, and collaborative. Steph integrates a variety of modalities, including:
-
Expressive Arts (informed by Internal Family Systems)
-
Narrative Therapy
-
Mindfulness-based practices
She practices from a holistic Feminist perspective and is committed to creating an inclusive, affirming environment for all clients. Steph warmly welcomes individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and relational styles, and provides a safe space for the 2SLGBTQAI+ community.
