About Us
Redwood Acupuncture & Health is a space for coming home—to your body, your breath, your inner stillness. Founded by Dr. Nicole Carey, Doctor of Acupuncture & TCM Practitioner with over 16 years of experience, the clinic offers a modern, grounded approach to ancient healing.
Inspired by the strength and stillness of the redwood tree, our practice is built on the values of integrity, depth, and restoration. We believe health isn't just the absence of illness—it's the presence of vitality, ease, and connection to self.
Whether you’re new to acupuncture, massage therapy, and nutrition or deeply familiar with holistic care, we’re here to meet you with compassion, respect, and the tools to support your healing journey—every step of the way.

The Heart of Redwood
Compassionate, experienced, and deeply present—our team of Practitioners are here to support your healing, every step of the way.

Doctor of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner
Nicole Carey, D.Ac
With over 16 years of education and clinical experience, Nicole Carey is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine dedicated to helping people find deep, lasting healing. Her approach is rooted in both the ancient wisdom of Eastern medicine and the practical realities of modern life.
Nicole specializes in supporting patients through all stages of life—from managing pain and stress to navigating fertility, pregnancy, postpartum care, and beyond. Her treatment style is both intuitive and highly skilled, blending traditional acupuncture with a deep understanding of how the body, mind, and spirit are interconnected.
Grounded and compassionate, Nicole creates a space where patients feel seen, heard, and supported. She believes healing is not just about fixing what hurts, but about helping people return home to themselves—stronger, calmer, and more connected.
When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll often find Nicole outdoors, recharging in nature or spending time with her family. Like the redwood tree that inspires our clinic, Nicole’s work is about cultivating resilience, balance, and a sense of belonging—for every patient who walks through the door.

Her path to acupuncture was shaped by her own healing journey—after a decade in corporate Calgary, she turned to Traditional Chinese Medicine to navigate stress and chronic health challenges. That personal transformation fuels her passion for holistic care that meets people where they are.
